INCLUSIVE PRACTICE

You are welcome here.

Breastfeed Scotland welcomes and works with all families, whatever your journey to get here looked like, whatever your family looks like, how you do or do not practice religion. We welcome all ages, nationalities, race, cultures, ethnicities and ethnocentricities.  We are aware that there are many ways to be and become a family. You are probably here and seeking help because you are a parent, parent-to-be, intended parent through surrogacy, non-birthing parent, parent-to-be partnered with a birthing parent, a trans woman, non-binary, a foster parent or a parent who has birthed their baby and is not currently nursing or other protected status.  We understand that not every nursing parent identifies as "mother". We have attempted to be inclusive in our gender related language to the best of our ability. We know that not all of our photos are as inclusive as we wish and are working on this. Please know we will continue efforts in equity, diversity and inclusion. All families deserve the same respect and assistance to reach their lactation goals. You are welcome here.

Breastfeed Scotland supports breastmilk feeding, breastfeeding, chestfeeding, co-nursing, pumping, finger feeding, mixed feeding/combi feeding, relactation, latching the older baby and induced lactation. Breastfeed Scotland is proud to work with all families.

If you have any questions, please contact Breastfeed Scotland about how we may be able to help your family.
